Adding a Custom Header to your Blog

All Bent Tree blogs should use the Bent Tree theme, in order to create a consistent experience and promote a common Bent Tree brand.

The Bent Tree theme, however, allows for a custom header image. Header images should be exactly 900 x 230 pixels and should blend appropriately into the Bent Tree theme. Custom header images should NOT have the Bent Tree badge in the top left corner, as the theme automatically adds this for you.

An example of a custom header image would look like this:

To add the custom header image to your blog:

  1. Click on ‘Appearance’ in the main left menu.
  2. Click on ‘Custom Image Header’ in the sub-menu that appears below the ‘Appearance’ menu.
  3. Click on the ‘Browse…’ button to select an image from your computer.
  4. Click on the ‘Upload’ button.
  5. If your header image already contains the name of your blog, you can click on the ‘Hide Text’ button to hide the text header.
  6. Click ‘Save Changes’

Your resulting blog will look something like this:
