Managing images and files in WordPress
Server Storage Space
Each WordPress blog has its own storage space for uploading images and other files. Your storage space usage is displayed on the Dashboard page when editing your blog:
You can request more space from the Bent Tree communications department.
Media Browser
You can view all of the files you have uploaded by clicking on ‘Media’ in the left-hand main menu. You can upload new files to the Media Library by clicking on ‘Add New.’
Large Images
IMPORTANT: WordPress 2.7 with our hosting company has problems processing uploaded images that are larger than about 1 Megapixel. When an image is uploaded that is too large for WordPress to process, an ‘ERROR 500′ message is displayed. To avoid this problem, resize your images using photo editing or image editing software before uploading. It is recommended that you resize your photographs to 800×600 pixels or smaller.
